HSC 19th Annual Conference offers TRY IT for One Day

Some people do not realize what a strong unschooling focus this event has always offered. Many, if not most, of the organizers and volunteers are long time unschoolers who happily beckon any school-at-home folks to relax and enjoy. I just saw the following post and thought I would forward it here. Jon Young or the Swap-a-Rama alone would be worth the price! *********

We are offering a special "Try It" rate this year - $25 for anyone over age 5+ (4 and under free) starting 11:00am (our events go until 10:00pm (12:00am for teens)), for Saturday August 8. Tickets can be purchased onsite with a special coupon that will be available at http://www.hscconference.com/tryit.html .

The Try It rate will get you into any and all Saturday sessions after 11:00am, including talks with Jon Young, David Albert, Tammy Takahashi, Blake Boles, plus hands on family workshops, panels, roundtables, and more after 11am, plus lunch shows and activities, storytelling, our specialty art and game decks, the Alchemy Alcove Science area, Swaporamama, a 7000 sq ft Exhibit Hall, Historial Fencing Demonstrations, Teen events, Art and Craft Fair, Meetups, Family Western Dance, Teen Techno Dance and of course, allow you to meet with lots of homeschooling families all in one place, perhaps around the pool or the lake!
