HELP!!!

Hello,

my name is Barbara, I am a single parent of an awsome 13 yr old boy!! We have been homeschooling online since October and I'm done!! The system in my opinion does not support children. I really would like to connect to people in unschooling in Austin TX where we live. I have alot of questions and can't type as fast as I can talk. Where do I go what do I do I love my son so much I want whats best for him. Everything I've read about unschooling feels so good to my heart!!! I'm just scared because I'm a single parent,my schedule is flexable because of the field I'm in but I want to be able to give my son what he needs to succeed. Everyone around me is so skeptical and I need more info from personal individuals to make sure were going down the right path!!

If you were able to help with an online thing, you should be able to unschool! What you may find is the need for deschooling to happen. Summer can help, but shouldn't count toward deschooling time. Here's what I'm talking about: deschooling.

There are tons of links at the bottom of that page. The general rule of thumb is a month for each year of having been in school.
