Lilaguide mutineers!

Ok, so I started this new list last month because of an invitation to do so at Lilaguide. Found out I didn't care for their forum and their customer service really stinks.

So I asked my new list members if they'd commit mutiny with me and join this forum instead. I wanted to start a discussion for everyone that left the dumb Lilaguide list.

Maybe everyone can introduce themselves again (if you haven't already) and we'll figure out a method of doing blog carnivals here.

Any ideas Laura? We'd talked about doing blog prompts and posting all the links of people who write about the topic. We did one and I'd like to move the links over here....especially since I'll be talking on that topic at Live and Learn.

I'd love to see a carnival going on over here :) I'd actually *use* the blog feature here for a carnival (instead of links to find me elsewhere!) 'twould be easy to do here, just post a discussion "(this month)'s Carnival" with the prompt and viewers can just pop on over to the blogs of those who respond.

yes...anyone can start a discussion. i will start a category for blog carnivals. hopefully i understand the carnivals enough to do so. with each category, new discussions can be started. then again, we could put it under the category of "general discussion" and start a new discussion called "blog carnivals"...hmmm. what do you think?

I thought some of you might find this amusing.

I wrote lilaguide several times (again)asking for my profile and group to be deleted (they give you no option for doing it yourself) and got ignored again.

SOooo....I deleted all of the discussions (there's that danged impermanence thing...but I'm really upset with the owners and we hadn't gotten into any great discussion just yet) and all of the members other than ME, because I can't , and changed the list name to "Lilaguide Sucks".

I have written the lilaguide customer service repeatedly and been completely ignored. I have asked them to cancel my membership and this group more than once and they refuse to do so.

If you come across this group while searching, don't use lilaguide! It's not user friendly and their customer service is awful.

The funniest part?
It's still there. They can't even figure out when a group is putting their own service down. You'd think they'd have better customer service to begin with...but anyhoo.

Would it be better to do a blog here for the carnival, or would you be able to do the blog carnival with a different blog like eblogger? I haven't started a blog here because I really like my other blog. I guess I could just do double blogs and put the exact same thing on each one...hmmm

That's hilarious Ren...I wonder how long it will stay up there. I'm sorry that you had to deal with the frustration though...grrr!
