Lilaguide mutineers!

Ok, so I started this new list last month because of an invitation to do so at Lilaguide. Found out I didn't care for their forum and their customer service really stinks.

So I asked my new list members if they'd commit mutiny with me and join this forum instead. I wanted to start a discussion for everyone that left the dumb Lilaguide list.

Maybe everyone can introduce themselves again (if you haven't already) and we'll figure out a method of doing blog carnivals here.

Any ideas Laura? We'd talked about doing blog prompts and posting all the links of people who write about the topic. We did one and I'd like to move the links over here....especially since I'll be talking on that topic at Live and Learn.

And I didn't mean to make it sound like I only wanted the Lilaguide people here!! I just wanted a place for them to get familiar with this list and talk about how to host blog carnivals.

Anyone who is interested in doing a blog carnival, please jump in. Or for any other reason.:)

Oh!!! I didn't even explain. I just assume everyone reads the same stuff I do.;) Sorry.

A blog carnival is when someone posts a prompt or cool topic of discussion and everyone who wants to participate does a blog post at their personal blogs about it. The final post has a link to every blog post and a short description of each one.

So the "carnival" takes you to a bunch of blogs talking about a single topic. It's really cool. There's been an unschooling one that used to be very active but I think she's let it go recently.

I'd love to see something going here each month. We had wanted the lilaguide list to be rich with blog prompts and such but the format there isn't so great. Any ideas?

I'd love to join in....wasn't at Lilaguide but would like to have more promptings to get me blogging again :) and I so enjoy reading different perspectives on a topic. Thinking is GOOD!!
