I'm one crazy mama, now living in Corvallis, OR with Super Cool Boyfriend, Scotty, the Beautiful Boy, Hayden, and the Big Black Fuzzy Dog, Charlie.
We've been on the unschooling track ever since a quick conversation in the library about "school work" being trite after my kids' life experiences thus far, the word "unschooling" was thrown out... not long after, I discovered Sandra Dodd and the original Unschoolingdotcom discussion list.
I took the leap of faith and have been swimming joyfully ever since :)
We attended our first Conference in 2004 (Peabody, MA L&L) and our Tribe was found(ed)!
I've had the honor of speaking at a few conferences. My favorite was in 2006, Unschooling Life and Death. I got to talk about how much of my parenting philosophy is based on the fleeting amount of time we have together; one of my favorite things to talk about!
Questions, inquiries, observations are always welcome!! :) Talking about me, well that's another favorite thing ♥

My heart has both broken for you and been thrilled for you. One thing I know for sure is that YOU are one honey-pie of a woman! Thanks for the giggles this a.m. My 9 year old, Emma, loved the lips (actually her words while she was ROTFLOL were "OMG - are those her REAL lips?!" We live on the Big Island of Hawaii - where I have yet to meet another RU family. I attended my first conference (LIG) last May. I felt like I had finally landed on my planet! and was so thrilled to meet and see so many "familiar" people IRL after years of "knowing" them for so long on the web. I mostly lurk on lists and am an obsessive blog reader, so although I feel like I "know" all of these great folks, most have no idea who I am! : )

I went to LIG all by myself this year and can't wait to go again next year with my family!
