Out of the Lurking Closet

You know, in real life, it’s good to be a lurker, if it means you just sit quietly and mostly listen (teacher's favorite!) People see you and they know you’re there. But on the internet, it feels kind of creepy, like you’re eavesdropping or spying or stalking people. I heard about this site on unschoolingbasics, where I mostly lurk, and I probably lurked here for a month before I decided to come out from under the coffee table and join the rest of you out here on the couch. I wonder if I was one of those babies who was silent for years and then started talking in full sentences. Anyway, FYI, I’m here. I live in Southern California and have one husband, two kids, two cats, two dogs, two llamas and a couple of half-dead tomato plants.

Llamas! How cool. I know what you mean about tomatoes, just didn't do too well, even with hand watering. *sigh* Welcome and glad you felt you could un-lurk? de-lurk? LOL

I did get a few tomatoes, but the poor plants just look they had to sacrifice everything to make it happen. That's a shame your plant got stolen...nice that your mom and grandmother had plenty to share.

Yep, llamas. They don't actually *do* much, but it's interesting to watch them. They seem to think it's even more interesting to watch us. Thanks for the warm welcome!
