I work as a cashier in a grocery store and every once in a while the total will add up to $6.66 It's always tempting to lower my voice and say (apologetically at first then turning into a panicked whisper), "I'm terribly sorry to tell you this, but...you're total is 666!"
I never do though, because I don't want to freak anyone out, but I do find it funny. I wonder how that number was chosen to be the "bad" one?

I don't post much, but I do enjoy this fun place.

That picture was a tricky move. First I used a screen capture function ("Grab") with a cropping option and took just that part from the sidebar. Then I changed it from a .tiff file to a .jpg and moved it to photobucket so I'd have a URL. Don't try to learn all that at once.

But assuming you have an image that exists on the internet somewhere (has an address that starts with http://) you use a code that's in pointy brackets (less-than and more-than symbols), and starts with IMG SRC...

You wanted to know why 666 is the biblical boogieman (and not the man who boogies, but the guy who'll "get you"). It's in the Bible. When I went to find the verse, I found some other good stuff. But first things first:

Kirby's driver's license says his birthday is October 30, and those IDs are legal documents. At least he's already 21, in Texas; they didn't make him 20 again. But in New Mexico he's been 22 since July 29. In Texas, he's 21 again. Cool, huh? He has a Texas birthday. Oooh! Now he can tell his Baptist neighbors that yes, he was born again. I need to point that out to him, and buy him a Texas-looking birthday card soon.

Schuyler listen, really. He's talking about something that's not even in English. I'm talking about the King James Bible. The only perfect version of the word of God. Once God guided the hands of the translators of that version, they might as well have thrown away the originals. It's done.

But if the end of the world is nigh, might as well pay attention to beasts with ANY number in the 600s, I'd say. Ecumenical Biblical Bestia...uh... to be fair and cautious, I mean.
