Buffy the Vampire Slayer

It's my first time watching the series and I'm completely and totally addicted, despite the fact that it's majorly cheesy. I'm ridiculously obsessed with anything having to do with the show and Vampires in general.

Anybody else love this show, cheesiness and all?
(If you're going to post any spoilers though, please be so kind as to say so at the beginning of your reply, because I haven't exactly finished the series yet. :) )

I love this show too. I watched the whole series in a few weeks not too long ago. It's cheesy but it's also funny and pretty well written. Ok, and I think the actors are cute;-) And I'm a mom: I think I should be more mature than that but oh well ;-)

I adored the Buffy show. Yes. It's like Charmed but better in my opinion. Hilarious fun show.

I'm going through the eps right now. I'm about half way through season 3. What a kick that I looked in on RUN and there was a Buffy thread. I started watching because I was so annoyed that my other vampire tv show, Moonlight, got canceled. True Blood is another vamp show (on HBO) that just started up (only three eps aired so far). That one is pretty interesting, if a bit smarmy. But back to Buffy, which is really well written and acted iyam. All Joss's stuff is. Have you seen his Dr. Horrible story? Probably still on-line for free somewhere, or you can get at itunes for a couple of bucks. And, of course, the long lamented Firefly...

I'm surprised that my wife Trisha hasn't replied to this yet. I beat you Trish! We're both pretty big Whedonists. We just started watching Buffy again the other night. He's an incredible writer. Buffy definitely changed and developed as the seasons went on. I, myself, am much more a fan of Firefly. Poor Firefly. That series was amazingly well done. I think if you like Buffy, you'll love Firefly. Serenity, the movie, was really great as well. Dr. Horrible is a must see for anyone that hasn't seen it yet. We haven't been to a Con in a while. We have NorwesCon here in the Northwest soon. I like looking for anything related to Joss Whedon while I'm there.

We love Buffy the Vampire series! Our whole family got into it; when the netflix came there'd be running and rushing to get to the dvd player to watch, and we'd yell and cheer at the characters.

As for Joss Whedon, he's incredible. I didn't really get into his other stuff...maybe we should try Firefly. Dr. Horrible... I didn't know it was a Joss Whedon thing, but watching him made me think of Spike, so after a few minutes of research Joss Whedon came up. Ha! Addi got into the Angel series after Buffy.

We have quite a few favorite episodes...the musical one tops them all...we still sing the songs. (Don't watch this out of order....it's spoil some things for you.)
