Hello. I wrote a book 2 years ago with my husband about our experience with our daugther.
We read a lot about Alice Miller. Now I have discovered, the unschooling. Well, I belive we are unshcoolings.
My book is free download. We wrote it in spanish and (google traslation if you want).

Que gusto saber que hay otros Hispanos en el mundo siguiento este camino! Nosotros estamos en los estados unidos ahorita, pero vamos de regreso pa' mexico en septiembre, yo soy de Chiapas, y regresaremos para la casa de mi mama a vivir un rato, y tratar de comenzar un centor de unschooling o algo por el estilo. estoy super entuciasmada de leer tu libro, gracias por compartir!

Nos gusta mucho Menorca, hemos estado mi marido y yo(sempre anem a St. Lluis)pero desde nacer nuestra hija (ahora 5.5 años) todavía no hemos hecho ningún viaje allí.
Así ya tenemos otra razón para montar un viaje a Sa Illa!

Hi Elena, I just saw this :) Yes, I will put you in touch with a friend of mine! We are still not 100% percent sure if we will be in Cambridge, something keeps pulling me to Mallorca ...ha ha. Although I think Cambridge would be lovely. My husband will travel quite a bit, so It might not matter too much where we live as long as there is a decent airport.

We spent our student and doctorate years there but, unfortunatelly, as it was a babyless period of our life we don´t really know anyone who is into unschooling. We are unschoolers and we hang out with our Mallorca tribe of homeschoolers/unschoolers there. It is a great little group, we have different approaches to learning and life in general but it is a open minded welcoming group. The kids have an organic garden they tend. I am also getting to know other people on the island who are friends of the group, not all are homeschoolers (or even parents) but they very positive to the unschooling thing :) We will be there from late april to late june this year.

Hello Bente!!

I've heard about the Mallorca US tribe before while living in the States. Now we're in Sweden and the future for homeschoolers is looking real bleak here. We'll be here for another year or two, and for sure will be moving elsewhere in Europe after that so we can continue homeschooling. I would love to get in touch with the unschoolers on Mallorca. Thank you Aria. There are homeschoolers here, but RUN one in Barcelona, and in Mallorca but I can't move to Mallorca.
It is not good for my daughter. We are thinking what can we do all the time.

Hi Valentina,

We just moved to the United States from Madrid because we were very unhappy there. We were also alone. I see you posted your message almost 2 years ago so I hope that you have found some like-minded friends by now. I can only say you might need a lot of patience because it's just very hard over there. It's a different world and a completely different mentality.

We had a small group of friends that weren't homeschooling but are Attachment Parenting and struggle to live in respectful ways with their kids. If you want I can put you in contact with them. I still email them often and they usually meet once a month and are very friendly.

I am still just working out how to do it all, and trying to convince my straight-laced husband to go with the idea. Actually meeting someone who lives an unschooled life would be amazing.
