Here are some French translations, in case that can tide you over until you get direct contacts.
There will be an unschoolers' gathering this summer near Geneva. Bea Mantovani and I will be there (though I'll be the English speaking one), and Claire Darbaud is the organizer. The date isn't yet set.

Last summer I met some unschoolers in and around Bretagne.
Hi! I'm an unschooler and I speak French (I'm French and live in Quebec.) I know unschoolers in France, and others who don't live in France, but speak French. Why do you ask? :-)
Permalink Reply by Doris Gantenbein on January 17, 2012 at 8:23am Hello, I am also interestet of contacts in unschooling familis who lives in France. We are a unschooling-family with three children and live in Switzerland. Our children never went to school. Every summer, there is coming a girl from Paris (from the slum!)to our family for three weeks and on this way our children learned to speak french. So we would like to meet some french unschooling families to learn the language better and better! We are interestet in penpal an in real meetings. Thank you very much!

Well, we live in Colorado and mostly speak English but I was raised French Canadian and my oldest daughter (5) understands French. We would like to do some sort of exchange where we would stay with a family so that our daughters learn more French. At this time we are more interested in visiting France than Canada. We have family in Canada to visit. We are also looking for literature in French that talks about homeschooling and also some activity books, project ideas. Since I have not spoken french regularly in about 15 years I want to have a very detailed book of ideas, lessons and projects I could do with my daughters that are in French, educational and close to unschooling , project based ideas as possible.

Hello ISA,
Switzerland could be a great place. Why don't you keep us in mind for an exchange and when you settle down you could see if it something that could work out for the summer of 2013. this way we could start communicating and seeing if our families are a good match, age wise and such.
