Just wanted to let ya'll know how thankful I am for this group...I don't post often, especially now, but reading here remains a good source of support when I'm feeling low. Thanks to all of you!

For those outside the U.S. who've already had Thanksgiving or weren't planning to anyway, sorry some of the regular noise will be very still until tomorrow. Today is pretty much turkey, football and nap here.

Or we could talk about how interesting it is to spend this day with family. :)

We'll be spending an hour with my family, and then come home and relax with friends playing board games and eating pizza. My fav Thanksgiving tradition.

But to those outside of the tradition, certainly don't mean to exclude.

We're having our third day of Thanksgiving food around here. Usually Gary's only home Weds, so I planned the meal -- Hawaiian food for us this year -- for Weds. I cooked all day Tuesday, and we had some early kalua pork on Tuesday. YUM! Then yesterday, we had the whole dinner (sadly, tho, no poi). Late yesterday, we got word Gary doesn't need to head back out on the road until tomorrow noon, so we have a bonus day together. And still LOTS of Kalua Pork and Chicken Long Rice, tho we are running low on pumpkin pie and I had to get out today for more ice cream.

Now there's freezing rain outside and, because we live in Albuquerque, the boys are outside in the sleet/rain. With water guns, even! Here in the desert all rain is celebrated!

And no extended family for us -- we had a couple of phone calls with Gary's folks who are hosting a 24 guest Thanksgiving dinner, but no need to dress up or answer 20 questions or drive anywhere. My favorite way to spend any holiday!

We spent our whole day with other unschoolers! Wooohoooo!:) It was an awesome day of celebration and friends and great food. I love my tribe.
