June's
 Unschooling Blog Carnival

is a

 Tribute to Dads
We're looking for blogposts about the Dads in your life!
In many unschooling households, dads are our unsung heroes.  While some are stay-at-home dads, many work all week, and come home to a loving, yet chaotic, family setting. The involvement of dads can vary - some are incredibly active in the children's lives, others are happier on the sideline. Tell us about it!
Or maybe there's no dad in your house and your kids have a favorite uncle or a family friend that they consider their uncle.  Perhaps grandpa is the male role model in their lives.
Let's let them all feel appreciated!
  • Do you have a great blog post about that dad at your house?
  • Maybe something about how great he is with the kids or some insight that might be helpful to other unschooling families?
  • Is the Man in your kids' life their uncle or a family friend? Does he take the kids places and provide a male role model for them?
  • Would you like to share a story about YOUR dad? How he parented or something that you wanted to be sure to pass on to your own children?

Now's your chance! Celebrate Dads, Uncles, Grandpas!

Thanks! This sounds super-fun!

Frank you show-off!

Ima write about all the cute dads I saw at the LiG Conference. Just kidding. But seriously there were some cuties, & I definitely include Mr. Maier.

Well, not showing off so much since I worked on someting all month and failed miserably. It was total shit. Using my Father's Day post from 09 after my dad died was a functional default.

Thanks for the compliment. I definitely qualify as one of the oldest dads there; handsome is in the eye of the beholder. I'm glad you have kind eyes.

Ya'll are funny! I would really LOVE to have something in there about the Dads at the conference! I know in past conferences, I've always loved watching the dads who go interacting with their kids throughout the weekend.
Maybe someone will write something about it!!

Maybe. (wink)

OK, I could have written about the dads at the conference, or my husband, or my many dad-friends. But I just wrote what was on my heart, my own dad.

Beautiful, Kelly.

Thank you!

Kelly, that was such a touching tribute! I couldn't get through it without a few tears myself.
