I have an idea. what if we all open our homes to traveling unschool families where we could then have a time of encouragement and fellowship. Also could be an excellent way to see the Country since we are from all over.:0)
I think it would work out best if our unschoolers were same sex and about the same ages, so they could have unschool sleepovers, playgames, similiar interests so on and so forth... while the parents could exchange thoughts and ideas.
Example....the girls might be into crocheting and beading and dolls and jumprope etc...
while the young men might be into matchbox cars and star wars and making go carts..etc....
I'm not saying that my 2 little girls just do "girly"things...they take Karate,go horseback riding, play basketball and soccer and love to fish and put together BIG lego projects. i just think on the whole they may have more in common,
because we have 4 daughters and only one son.....we do not have many boy toys left .......beings that Ben is 21 now.
but anyway we live in Pa. South east, Pa. Rich in History with philly being only 30 minutes from our home. So if any unschooler wnats to tour Philly or see the Brandywine valley...They could stay with us and when we go to florida every winter, We could make stops all along the east coast and see what other unschoolers are up to and join in. What do you all think?????? Starting an unschool travel network?
Sorry this is not spelled or grammatically correct, or capitalized properly as I did it in a hurry on my way out the door....just wanted to get my thought down on paper! :0)
