Hello everyone, I just found this site.  My name is Deann Wilson and I am mom to three great kids (of course!) :)  My children are Kerstin 11, Korina 7 & Konrad 7.  We started homeschooling during Kerstin's kindergarten year.  The twins have never went to school.  Kerstin has went back one more time for 4th grade (last year), but decided she preferred to homeschool.  We started out homeschooling by ordering a full curriculum from Calvert, but it didn't work out so well.  Kerstin and I spent most days fighting :( instead of getting any learning which was very sad since before she went to school she loved learning.  Just the short amount of time she was in school really changed her outlook on learning, and it affected my twins too, I think.  After the curriculum didn't work out so well, we mostly did an eclectic form of homeschooling, doing some book work, and alternating that with living.  Eventually we have pretty much phased out all the 'schooly' book work and moved on to unschooling.  Our family is not that agreeable with it, but the kids and I are happier with the unschooling approach.  However not having the familial support and not knowing anyone else who unschools, I feel really alone most of the time...

I am hoping to make friends for myself and my children.
