The longer you keep it, the less value it will have.

Have you researched it on eBay? When you search on an item, down the left side is a option to see closed listings. That way you can see what they're selling for. (I believe you need an account to see that option.)

Is it some kind of 12 year deal that you and he expected to use for many years? Most curriculums are only for one year so selling them at the end of the year would be expected.

Don't try to change his mind. Give him information (like the selling prince on eBay or Amazon), sew seeds, and let him come to a new understanding while the curriculum sits in the closet.
