I Did it!

Hi everyone,

Well I made the leap and called school today and unenrolled my 5 year old son! I have been researching unschooling for sometime now and feel it is right for us. I have asked some questions on here and gotten some great replies. I can't tell you how nervous I was calling school and how much I am still feeling like I am doing something illegal! it's a new, scary feeling. I am a public schooled mom and know nothing else. I am going to make the call for my other 4 older kids next(ages 12,12,11 & 9). I hope with time this scary new feeling will subside!!

By the way if there are any 12 or 13 year old unschooling girls on here that would like to be a penpal for my daughter please let me know. I think she would benefit from chatting with other unschoolers on here.

I know a couple 12 year olds in Rochester. One was just here today but I know there are more.
