I wish.  We plan to be at Good Vibrations, tho.  It's a shorter, easier drive.  Will you be there?
We will be at Good Vibrations. See you there!

P.S. Ronnie will be speaking there: http://goodvibrationsconference.com/presenters.php

In the interest of full disclosure, I'm gonna be participating in some of the activities at LiG.

I'll facilitate a panel of dads who'll answer any and all questions people have about a dad's perspective on unschooling - Dads' Panel: http://lifeisgoodconference.com/about/main-presentations/

I'll also co-host a circle chat with Jon Gold and Ben Lovejoy on unschooling with grown (and almost-grown) kids - So What Now?:  http://lifeisgoodconference.com/about/circle-chats/

The bio I provided for the LiG website is on this page: http://lifeisgoodconference.com/presenters/

Just marked it on my calender. I would LOVE to be there, going to try, but my husband does a big race that weekend (Ski to Sea in Bellingham, Wa) and I am usually part of the race crew. Sounds exciting and jammed packed full of information. :)

Hope to see you there.  LiG is a lotta fun We love it.

Bellingham has lotsa fun stuff. I used to race in PITCH (http://pitch.byc.org/) there pretty consistently.

I'm going of course!!!!

I look forward to seeing you there!

It'll be great to see y'all, Jenny!

And for my fellow members of musiciansRUN (musicians on RUN - http://familyrun.ning.com/group/musiciansrun), note that there'll be a concert on Sunday night at the end of LIFE is Good with Amy Steinberg (http://www.amysteinberg.net/) and Kimya Dawson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kimya_Dawson). How cool is that?

Also for my musiciansRUN fellow members, our unschooling parents' rock group, the Greybeards and the Hot Backup Chicks, will be playing at LiG, probably Saturday night. We're not very good but we are enthusiastic and we have a lot of fun. Some videos of the Greybeards and the HBCs from the Good Vibrations Unschooling Conference 2009 are here: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheGreybeards
Just booked our hotel room! We can't wait!

Hooray, Jana! You're gonna have a wonderful time.

Have you ever been to LiG or another conference before?

I confess that my wife had to DRAG me to our first conference. I was already onboard with unschooling but I am not a very social person and the thought of going to a conference was not delightful. I agreed to go with the caveat that I'd probably spend the entire time in the hotel room, reading and watching tv/movies. Instead, I was instantly welcomed so warmly and invitingly that I felt like an immediate member of a loving group who cherished me. It was a delightful surprise.

See you there!

Hi Frank~

Yes we have attended once about ...3 or 4 years ago??? It was in the Corvallis area.  In fact after looking at your pics I think we actually visited during the family game time.  Then the whole room broke out into a full on balloon sword war I remember it so well because my kids started it and my inital reaction was to reel them in and then I just took a deep breath and watched the whole thing unfold.  It was awesome because the environment was so free and safe.   Too fun:) My kids were in heaven.  So we are coming back for more heaven.  We are bringing my hubby too.  I think he may feel the way you did at your first conference.  So it will be great to have people there that get how the"first timers" are feeling. Thanks so much Frank!  Looking forward to more visting and balloon wars;)
