NaNoWriMo to Australia

I am the parent of a 14 year old daughter. She just came back from an "Unschool Adventure" in Oregon where she participated in the National Novel Writing Month. She gleefully finished a book while meeting 19 other unschoolers. Her next adventure will be seven weeks in Australia with the same company to attend an not back to school camp down under and experience Brisbane to Sydney with yet another group of peers.

She has transitioned from public school, to private boarding school, to homeschool and now unschooling. Each one in retrospect was a step to where we are today. Each was where she needed to be at the time. What helped us most was two books; The New Global Student, by Maya Frost, and College Without High School, by Blake Boles.
