i am putting this in the barter and trade section for jessica so that it will have it's own section. sorry i wasn't more help on the phone =)

so remember to contact jessica...not me.

here's what she wrote:

I wonder if anyone would like to participate in a rock trade. Basically, you just go outside and pick up a rock, identify it if possible and send it to us, we'll send one back to you from NE TN in USA. As more people participate, more varieties of rocks can go out. If you send a rock out, you will get one or more back. You can get as fancy as you want and actually find something specific from your area you want to share. We did this a few years ago and someone sent me 3 herkimer diamonds from New York, of which I got to share 2 to other people. Some people like to find fossils, unusual sand, shark's teeth or petrified wood and someone once sent a few geodes that we got to bust open - like magic to find those crystals inside! So, if you want to participate you can email me your address at jesschittum@gmail.com and I'll send you my address. I will send you rocks from NE TN and you send me something from your area. This is something that sort of grows and I will try to post pics either here if possible or at my blog highland-trails.blogspot.com So, we all know this group rocks, now send some!

I love minerals!  Here in KY we are actually living in an ancient sea bed.  I have fossils from my yard with mostly bivalves and plants....but once in a while a trilobite.  Would totally trade with someone who is working on a dinosaur/prehistoric lesson with their USer!

Also, I have locally found sandstone, coal, and occasionally some geodes.  What do you like?  I'll go down to the river beds and find it!

I'll try to take some pictures soon. (The camera is pretty shoddy though.  It's been dropped a couple of times)
