Unschoolers in Salt Lake City area?

It looks like sometime in August, I'll be driving my oldest to NW Montana or at least SLC on his way to Montana. The younger boys and I've never been that far north, so I don't know what there is to see/do in that area. We may have an extra day to sight-see or we may just pass thru. Ultimate destination will be Anaconda, MT, a tiny town north of Butte. If we go to MT with him, I guess we'll be driving thru Idaho, as well. We may also route our north thru SLC then loop south thru Wyoming and Denver. Really don't know yet.

Any really cool stuff we must see while we're on the road? Who knows when we'll next be that far north.
