Unschooling in Australia

We have four daughters -- the oldest is five, and are just starting out on our unschooling journey. We live on the east coast of Australia in the subtropical city of Brisbane.

Originally I would have vehemently denied that we were radical unschoolers — we just adhered to an unschooling philosophy for education! But (as most of you probably know), living in freedom kinda sneaks into other areas of one's life, and now we're learning to let go with some food issues (eek), discipline (eek, eek), and religious obligations (ahh — now THAT was a relief!).

So, I have a lot to learn, and I am learning from the best — from you and all the wonderful bloggers who share their lives online!

I've followed Bob Collier's sharings and Arun's The Parenting Pit blog for a while now. It's nice to add another unschooler from that side of the equator to my list.
