Radical Unschoolers Network

the network for radical unschooling families

I like things like study groups and book clubs and now and then I want to get one going with other unschoolers, on unschooling related topics. And I like the idea of starting something like that here, either in the General or Philosophy forum in part because everything's pretty slow here right now.

The trouble is, I'm not very good at coming up with topics or starting discussions! Is someone interested in helping me generate a list of topics and helping me frame starting questions?

See, other people have problems coming up with questions too ;-) Or it could just be slow because of summer. There's only been 10 views of the post. Maybe people have gotten out of the habit of checking the forum since it's been so slow :-/

You could begin with the basic:

What is unschooling? Can it be defined? If not, why not? And if not then how can it have meaning?

What does learning look like? Or is there a better question to ask? Is learning separate from natural learning?

Why does the word "teach" get in the way of unschooling?

Maybe I'll come up with more later. But my track record for sparking discussions isn't so great ;-)
