Radical Unschoolers Network

the network for radical unschooling families

We're one of those families with itchy feet who like to move fairly often. Maybe we just haven't found the right spot yet or maybe we just like the excitement of new places and people. But right now we're considering a couple of places but still looking. We are definitely looking for unschooling friendly places where we can actually make friends with other like minded families. We're hoping to find a place where we can have access to local foods, farmer's markets, the outdoors and yet not far from a big city.

Anyway I digress...but I would love to hear where other unschooling families live, if you have local unschoolers (and if not then what do you do for support other than online or or conferences), etc. Ya know I'm not really asking for MUCH info LOL.

peace
Laura

I live near Seattle and have encountered hundreds of unschooling families via two unschooling groups. The Eastside group has over 200 member families and the Seattle group has 66. We never have a shortage of group activities to participate in.

The Seattle area, itself, is great for unschooling because it's got the big city amenities (museums, etc.) as well as the beautiful Puget Sound and Olympic Peninsula (my favorite place on the planet.)
