Permalink Reply by Sandi L. on October 29, 2011 at 6:05am So when are you planning on coming to this area?

That's not too bad. In NY it was a bare mininum of 30-40 min. The monthly support group was fairly central to us all - the closest could get to it in 20min, some peeps would drive 1h+ to make it. It sounds much better in Tampa & Sarasota, and is pretty cool here in Austin as well.

We recently moved to Daytona Beach, but don't think there's alot of unschoolers here, unfortunately. I've heard somethings go on in Orlando area.
good luck!
Permalink Reply by Lisa Zapantis on November 7, 2012 at 8:36pm Hi Bibi, I am in Deland as well. Unfortunately, my daughter is going through that stage where she is really uncomfortable around boys, however, this does not mean that we cannot connect. Do you know of any other RU families or groups nearby?

Hi Rachel,
we are over here in DeLand, not too far from you. There are a couple of other unschooling families here in DeLand. I have 3 boys, 9, 12, and 15. They love surfing and WOW.
How about you?
Bibi

Permalink Reply by Celeste Burke on March 8, 2013 at 5:57pm Hey there, we just moved to Surfside (Dade County). Not sure where everyone is now but here's to finding some unschoolers in South Florida! :)
