Are there any unschoolers in Naples, FL or nearby? Is there a site or group that focuses on this area?

There are unschoolers in Melbourne. Check out Brevardunschooling@yahoogroups for some of the coolest families I've met. We live in Kissimmee but travel to hang with these folks. Hope to meet you soon!

It's been a while since the last comment! Just to be sure...is TLC still meeting up? If they are, where can I find parents? I know most kids are at the park, while most teens meet at the library.

Oh, that's too bad :( Well, many of us also go to the PATH park day at Evelyn Greer, which is at the same time as Salvador Park on Thursdays. So if that's easier for you to get to, you can still meet us there :)

I was told at 4:00. No, I came alone. I doubt I might go again, since the bus might take me at around 4:25. I like spending at least 1 1/2 hours meeting people. Rushing is bad for me.

We generally hang out until 5:00 when the park closes. And if it's rainy and wet we go to the library there, which is where we were on Wednesday! I'm sorry we missed you! We have members who live in South Miami and Coral Gables as well as Homestead and West Kendall. Are you coming alone or with kids? I hope to meet you next time!

Sorry I couldn't meet up with the TLC crew. Some of the Salvadore Park (P.A.T.H.) people told me how it's from 2:00-4:00. I didn't get to Pinecrest until 4 twenty-something. I left work at 2:15 and the bus to Pinecrest took loooong to get to the stop.

Another thing: is anyone near the Westchester/West Miami/ Coral Gables area? I've met homeschoolers but also want to meet unschoolers near my place.

I'm thinking to start having a small group that meets in mid to north Miami since it's really tough to go to Broward but heading south is hard too. I'm thinking North Miami to Miami Beach, Miami Shores etc. Is anyone interested?
