that ocarina app for the iPhone is AwEzOmE

I saw the iPhone app and for only 99¢ thought it was a bargain.... if I only had one too! I've been salivating after them for way too long, but I can't justify the expense at the moment. We're totally MacHeads around here and I would love something that would seamlessly co-ordinate my schedule from my computer to my phone and vice-versa, as I use my phone as a PDA as well. I make do with my hand-me-down phones as it is.

I'm not sure if anyone's been following the Ocarinaclub group, but did you happen to see the new iPhone app Ocarina? (makes me wish I *had* and iPhone!)

Also, they're working on getting an ocarinafest going in 2009...

It's http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/Ocarinaclub/ and they are a great bunch of people! Barry Hall, who wrote a book about ceramic musical instruments, is there as well, and several Native American Flute makers. And when you DO shape your own whistle or ocarina out of clay, the feeling you get is indescribable! Yes, when you make the chicken ocarina, you'll have to post a pic! I can't wait :)

I only have two ocarinas that I made out of clay - though I plan to get one from Songbird and from Clayzeness in the future. There's a great Yahoo Groups for learning how to play AND make your own, if interested.
