Are there any new books on homeschooling or family life that you'd recommend? I read…Continue
My goal is to start a free school (what I think of as unschooling together) in Asheville, NC for students of color and I am definitely missing a community of black folks who are about this life. Nice to have found this group, though. Hello!
I fully unschool as well. In Atlanta.
I am truly brimming over with excitement about the support I can gain here. I am glad to find others that understand what I want for my family and have the experience to share. We are in Georgia.
There is very little support. I have searched as well. This site and the AA unschooling group on Yahoo are the only ones that I have found. We have been unschooling for almost 8 years now. It's not that I mind having non-AA unschooling support, its just nice to know that you are not all alone. My mother is finally showing support, after almost 8 years!! :-)
We fully unschool our children. I run into the same problem...but then I do live in Denver. :-)
Are there any parents that are fully unschooling? I am very interested in the concept, but I have yet to find any black parents that are not just homeschooling, but actually unschooling.
Is anyone in the Los Angeles area?
