the network for radical unschooling families
Are there any new books on homeschooling or family life that you'd recommend? I read Radical Homemakers: Reclaiming Domesticity from a Consumer Culture by Shannon Hayes and found it good for my soul! This is so important, since my biggest support community is largely on-line & its nice to participate in those "conversations" about what I'm doing & where I hope to go. (Even if this doesn't happen enough in the tangible world.) Anyway, I'd love to know of any blogs, websites or books that you know of to offer such support, information and encouragement. There are only so many times I can be directed to John Gatto before I wonder who & what else is out there... Any books on single-income living, inspiring ourselves & our children, keeping a home, ideas for civic engagement/leisure/learning for families, cultural shifts affecting homeschoolers...that sort of thing.

I like the Unschooling Handbook, and am re-reading it now. Also like Freedom Challenge. It is specifically about Black homeschoolers (who look a lot like unschoolers to me).
