Radical Unschoolers Network

the network for radical unschooling families

Hi Artists :-)
I am starting a non profit organization called Horse Zen Around and I need a logo to put on my website and other publications. I would like something that represents both horses and Zen. Here is a description of what my vision is...please help if it sounds like fun! Thanks in Advance :-)
~Tracy

Horse Zen Around is dedicated to helping individuals and families become their best, by learning to know ourselves deeply, unearthing our deep conditioned responses to things, and taking the steps to change what blocks our way to being our authentic self. The horses are our guides because they are masters at reflecting back to us our true nature. Because horses are prey animals they have highly evolved intuitive abilities. They can sense things in us that we are unaware of, and are powerful teachers in showing us the lessons we would benefit from learning. If we stay open, watch and listen carefully we will learn much from these wonderful creatures!

Zen emphasizes experential wisdom and so do horses! Experential wisdom is obtained through experience, here at Horse Zen Around we believe you will awaken parts of yourself that have been buried by lifes burdens through your experience with the horses. Zen practices also incorparate meditation, here at Horse Zen Around you will not meditate in the traditional form, yet you will be living in the moment while participating in our programs with the horses because quite frankly horses give you no other choice. When you are with the horses in nature you naturally go into a type of awakened meditation, learning much about yourslef and others. You will be on you way to your own personal awakening, often simple called the path of enlightenment.

It would be cool to do a horse figure in sumi-e ink maybe with a red circle that also looks all brushy. I don't work with sumi-e but that is the image that came to my mind. you could then write the zen horse around in white on the red circle, is that zen enough, "The only thing I know is that I know nothing."-my favorite zen quote
