I'm a 9 yo girl and here are some of the books I've read lately. Lily's Ghost: it's a good book. Diary of a Fairy Godmother: not a bad book, not the best but I enjoyed it. And now me and mom are reading Princess Academy: we're half way through it. It's good so far.

Lizzy and I are reading the Twilight series. We both read Twilight and Lizzy finished New Moon and gave it to me yesterday. We haven't been able to borrow a copy of Eclipse yet so we went to Barnes and Noble for a couple of hours yesterday so she could read part of it. One of her friends said she could borrow it Sunday. We had read the Harry Potter books together but that was me reading to her. This is the first time she read a book first and gave it to me. It is a lot of fun talking about the story together. She keeps asking me where I am in the book so she doesn't give anything away.

I'm reading Four Day Win--Achieving Thinner Peace (How to Win the Diet War). Martha Beck is very funny. The exercises for (th)inner peace and ideas are very helpful. I am a bit lazy with the mental exercises. I'm gleaning what I can from her insights. She's a life coach who worked at Harvard. Now she lives in AZ. I wish she would have unschooled. But considering Martha is not an RUN she is unschooly about some of her thoughts.

I liked Catcher in the Rye, Golden Compass, Narnia Chrons., Little Britches series by Ralph Moody, and many others. On my blog I have more books I like listed on my book wheel in the side bar. Most are non-fiction.

I have also enjoyed Grisham and a few Koontz books when I'm not reading anything else.

I remember having a negative reaction to "Catcher in the Rye," but that may have been because it was required reading at the time. I think I'll read it again and see. I really like "Watership Down" and pretty much anything by Orson Scott Card.
