Where are you?

as a jumping off place for discussion...
Where are you from?
How far are you willing to drive for a radical unschooling get together/park day?!

So far we only have one member from the east - Montreal - Bea. Do you want to come out to BC for a get together? A bit of a drive! Is half way Manitoba?

I live in South Surrey/White Rock, BC - just 5 minutes from the American Border (Peace Arch Crossing) and about the same distance from the Ocean. It is a Suburb of Vancouver.

I would drive several hours to hang out with other radical unschoolers for the day!

Hello :) We are in Edmonton but go back to Ontario once a year (my husband and I are from there). We were going to introduce the Indio Sudbury Campus to our little ones but due to low enrollment it has closed down :( Anyway would love to keep in touch with you radical mamas!!

Hey guys!!!

I just joined the site and I am looking forward to talking to you all!

Were in Ontario Here, Cobourg to be exact. About 2 hours from Kingston. We would most definitly travel to meet other RU's , were hard to find!
I am also open to opening our place for unschooling get togethers, we have an organic farm here with campsites through the woods that would be awesome.

Hi! I'm from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia... a bit too far to drive for get-togethers in BC, sadly :) That said, I am a WWOOF host (Willing Workers on Organic Farms) and love to host visitors, so keep us in mind if you're planning a Maritime vacation.

I've had difficulty locating homeschoolers in my area, let alone unschoolers - hence my joy at finding this virtual community!
