Hi Hema and friends,

It's so refreshing to have discovered you! I was desperately seeking unschoolers...with absolutely no hope of finding any of Indian origin. I never thought I'd ever meet any radical ones at any point! This is such a pleasure. We live in Dallas and hope to draw courage and inspiration from you veterans when society shakes its finger at me!  Loved your blog Hema. We'll be in Bangalore next week until July 8. Any chances of your visit there? Thanks a ton to Shweta Kulkarni who directed me to your blog!! Until later..

I know a few more indian unschoolers in the US too... perhaps you guys can chat/email too. Let me know if you'd like me to connect with them. We will be in Bangalore but later in July. I will be in Dharwad from the 10th till 20th and then onto Bangalore. Where else in India will you be traveling to? How old are your kids? a blog to share?

It'll be awesome to be connected to other Indian unschoolers here! I just spoke with Shweta yesterday. I'll certainly pass on your greetings. No blog yet. I have a good reason to blog now. I have 2 little ones--Neelabh-5, Neha -2. Neelabh just finished up KG at a Montessori school and is excited to skip school this last week and never go back :)

Neha goes to a private preschool for a few hours a week and she loves it since it's mainly art and socializing. If she wishes to stay back as we unschool Neelabh, she's free to hang back if she wants to.

We might be visiting Kerala and maybe a train ride through the Western ghats and camp out there for a couple of days. That's the plan. We'll see how it all pans out. Will definitely call you!

I wrote on your FB wall. I did think of calling but never had your number handy. And when I did access the Internet, I forgot to write down your number. It must sound pretty lame but it's true :(. We're going to the Rethinking Everything conference next month. Very excited about it!
