Been a while since this group has seen any action. Just for fun, here's my latest blog post of our home music room setup. http://pvmaro.blogspot.com/2013/01/the-compleat-music-room.html

At the farewell dance for the Good Vibrations Unschooling Conference, I got together with a coupla other unschooling dads and moms to play some rock 'n' roll. Some vidoes are here: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheGreybeards

Hi, y'all,

I'm mostly a keyboard player but I have a guitar to amuse myself with. My older daughter just got herself a lovely Gretsch acoustic-electric guitar and my younger daughter bought an Ibanez electric bass. My wife likes percussion, so we're inevitably a ready-made band and we're gonna put together a song for the talent show for the LifeIsGood conference. Cool! I'm looking forward to playing with my family!

Greetings musicians, my favorite type of playing is improvisation. I am not classically trained and play by feel more than by rote. This is how I feel about life and enjoy moving with the flow of things, following here and leading there creating a dance of peaceful cooperation with flowing growing and learning in harmonies or dischord. I believe this is an unschooling philosophy and love seeing how it applies to everything in life. I have a friend that I record music with and we spend a lot of time improvising, most of our music came from experimentation. I am open to any style of music, I see it as a language that all of the world understands.

Hi and welcome! Very nice-- I'm a guitar player and singer/songwriter myself. I too, have a banjo that I've never learned to play *properly*. But, I've been told I play punk rock banjo, since I just beat the hell out of it. I've gotten it out a lot more recently. I'm very much on the old time side of music. I'm obsessed with driving beats and rhythmic textures.

Hi Heather and fellow music-makers. I'm a guitar player and songwriter. I have a beloved 30 y.o. Ovation that I play around the house, and a banjo I've never learned to play well and a resonator guitar I love to make noise on (but usually not for company).
