Hello All, I'm curious about the difference between Homeschooling and Unschooling? I have pulled my 9yr old from the public school system for several diff. reasons and I'm still searching for the best approach, and advice...

We're in the northwest now, but we will be moving to Boston this summer. We lived there for a year while my husband was in school. He took a leave of absence, but now we are headed back so that he can finish up his PhD. My daughter is 5.5 and my son is almost 3. I think I'll post a separate thread asking for help and advice... but I definitely need some :)

A fellow South Shore survivor. I hear you about the road from Catholicism to Unschooling. I went to St. Joseph's until my parents let me choose to stay home. I was the one in CDD, when I wasn't able to skip, who would say, "But..." We love the White Mtns too. A childhood fav.

There are places, but you have to look around. We bought in New Haven (East Rock neighborhood) and got a two-family, which we use as a single-family, for $300,000. In the center of the state are some good deals as well. Where is your husband's job located?

Hello Everyone...We are up here in Maine. I am increidbly happy to be back in New England after many years in the west. Hey Kimberly, except potentially for the job opportunity part, you may want to check out Maine. ...A lot less expensive here!
