Thank you for the recommendations. I've taken a look at the books by Golden & didn't think they'd hold his interest, but I won't know until I try it. He has been listening to The Last Apprentice series a likes it (a tween series) so who knows. And WoWInsider has been bookmarked!

There aren't really any guides at a lower level (it is a rated T game, after all) but you could probably help him read the BradyGames guides.  My kids enjoy it when I read them the game lore-based books by Christie Golden...the latest was really excellent!  The WoWInsider website has really helpful articles too.  (MMO-Champion is a safer info resource than WoWiki, btw.)

My husband has been on WoW for a few years now & my children have been playing for almost a year. My son is practically a pro! I just started a Worgen so that I could ask my son for tips. ;)

 

I'd love to buy him a guide for Wow to incorporate some reading that he'd really be interested in, but the ones I have seen for sale are too high level for him (he's 7). Does anyone have any ideas?? P.S. WoWiki is full of viruses! Don't go there.

Robin--our store doesn't have the CE reservation yet, but we paid $10 each to reserve, instead of $5. When the CE becomes available for reserving, they will automatically switch ours over. Did the same thing last year for WOLK, but just got one CE.

We've mostly been playing on Wyrmrest Accord. My dd9 has a toon in HofU that she almost never plays in part because there never seems to be anyone to play with.

I think next year we will pre-order and even do the midnight store camp out for Cataclysm because we're so excited!! Can't way to roll a goblin! :D
