My son wants to join the Guild "Horde of Unschoolers"

My son would like to join the guild; we are moving towards unschooling at home and have great interest in exploring WoW with the guild. He needs to know what server you are on; how does he reach it? Thank you!

Hi, Marcie,

Horde of Unschoolers is on The Venture Co. It's a PVP realm. My daughter has a night elf huntress named Varadoria, though she's not on right now. I can ask her to watch for your son's character, though, when she is. Jill Parmer and her family play on Horde of Unschoolers, also. Here's what she has written for others who wanted to join:

"For him to find someone in the guild he can type (minus arrows) in the chat box. It's best if he says who his is and maybe your name, and that his mom is on the Radical Unschoolers Network.

If someone doesn't answer him, it may be because they can't read yet, so ask another.

He's welcome to ask one of my characters: Takulah, Talukah, Ehne, or Jilam."

The Horde of Unschoolers is on The Venture Co. realm. When he makes a character he should do horde on that realm. Then as he plays he can type "/who horde of unschoolers". From the list that appears he can right click on a name (everyone who is currently playing) and ask for an invite to the guild. Or you/he can post his character name to the yahoo unschoolers list and ask for someone to be on at a time he is on for an invite.

There are unschoolers on other realms also and you can check the list on the yahoo unschoolers group for names of servers, guilds and characters.

After seeing this post yesterday, the girls and I rolled up some horde toons on the Venture Co. so that we could join the guild, too. As soon as we got near the major city, we sent out a message saying "looking for the Horde of Unschoolers guild" and we received an immediate reply and invites. We all have alliance characters in the 40s on another realm (Zuluhed), but it was worth starting new ones so that we can hang out with other unschoolers in game. We have been playing since just before Christmas, and we have met a homeschooler or two in game, but none that we know who are unschoolers. We had a great time talking last night with everyone in guild chat, and then having a dance party when we actually ran into a couple of our new friends. The girls and I are very excited to be in the guild and to be able to play with more kids during the day. We plan to be spending a lot of time on the new realm! We are blood elves--Nieomy, Iloverats, and Killerbarbie. ~Cheryl

Hi! I am Susan, just just joined the RUN this moment. We also just got a WoW account. Hubby, this far, is the main player, but I would like to get back into gaming as well. We have a 5 year old daughter who is also interested. We heard rumors of a mythical Unschoolers guild and would like to join. I have a question, do we have to engage in PvP to be in the guild? You don't have to participate in PVP activities to be in the horde of unschoolers guild. It's pretty laid back, and people are off doing whatever they want.
