Oh, just looked that up - sounds like fun! I'll mention it to the fam and see if I can spark some interest in going to that - what a great idea! Dd LOVES to watch people dance; should be a good show for that.

Can't tonight, but Wednesday I'm going to the botanical gardens for the free music festival. I plan to spend the whole time in the kids' garden. Maybe some of us could meet there this, or another Wednesday?

Hey, I know this is very last-minute, and perhaps not even going to happen, but dh, dd, and I are discussing going to the MO Botanical Gardens this evening to see the Lantern Festival, if any one wanted to maybe meet up there? Just a thought... Hope everyone's having a great weekend so far!

Hello !!  We are in southeast MO, about 2 hours away from StL.  We consider StL "our city".  Both of my unschooled boys were born there at MoBap; and my husband grew up in Kirkwood.  We come to StL for all of our doctors/dentists, etc.  I am quite spoiled to shopping at Whole Foods in the Galleria area.  If any gatherings in the St Louis area were to begin to develop, I would love to consider being involved.  We aren't able to come to St Louis as often as we used to (weekly) since the economy contracted so severely but this too will pass, I am certain.

Hello! New here, just wanted to check in before my 2-yo wakes from her nap. Glad to find other unschoolers in STL, hoping to find friends and playmates for my daughter AND myself - been lonely since moving here!

Hey, didn't see this before! We are unschooling in North St. Louis County.  Unschoolers in this area are few and far between, but I have found more conventional homeschoolers to be welcoming for the most part. My kids are 8 and 3. It would be nice to get together with some other unschoolers during the week or just to have someone to chat with about the specific issues that affect us as unschoolers in this region. Let me know what you have in mind.

I live in St. Charles, MO and will be pulling my children out of school at the onset of winter break, with plans of unschooling.  I am searching for any others who are unschooling in the area, along with any local unschooling groups.  My children are 10, 7, 5 and 8mos.  Hopefully there are some others out there who are willing to link up/communicate often!  :)
