Hi

I've just joined. We live in Ireland and would love to swap/host. My three children and I are travelling to the united states this June. We plan on spending a month there visiting friends and family. It would be great to get in contact with anyone from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and along our possible road trip between the east coast and Madison Wisconsin :-)

Hi-

I am looking for a house exchange in Austin, Tx for a month.  I am interested in  trading for my 3 bedroom house in Ft Myers, FL or a family that is open to hosting us.

Hi all, I've just joined. We currently live in Liberia (Africa) and would be more than happy to host a family here. We also have a rental holiday house in Belgium that will be available at the end of next year.

Hi, I've just joined.

I read about home exchange ideas but never really read into it.  What an exciting idea!  I've had this questions for a while.  If we want to visit a certain place (Italy for example), do the owner of the house in Italy we are exchaning need to come to visit our house at the same time (period)?   Does the exchanger occur at the same time in order to exchange?   Also how do you take care of issues such as house getting trashed, broken items, missing items after the guests leave?  For those who can do extensive exchanges throughout the year, do you just take vacation time from work or do you bring work when you travel?  TIA

Hi! We are in ECUADOR! So anyone who wishes to travel further abroad, here´s the place. And we have a huge guest house, so are flexible with exchange dates. I know most people here want to safe money on hotels, but just in case, we also rent the place per weeks/months. Sleeps 8-10.

Hi, we're an unschooling family from Newcastle, NSW, Australia. A beach city just over 2 hours north of Sydney. We're wanting to live overseas for 12 months in 2013, probably from about March onwards. We're open to all sorts of English speaking places lol (my husband will need to find work as a nurse of mental health educator so it helps to speak the language!). Our 15 year old son's preference is for Canada, possibly around the Vancouver Eritrea, but if we could do a house exchange we'd consider almost anywhere. We've never travelled as a family overseas before, or done a house swap, but our feet are so itchy they're driving us crazy! :)

Hello,

I just found out about this part of the Ning site. We are a family in Port Townsend, WA with 5 unschoolers and 2 moms: 3 boys (ages 14, 12, and 9) and 2 girls (9 and 11).

We are interested in traveling and staying with other unschooling families and/or exchanging homes with unschoolers in the US and beyond.

We have a nice 3-story home in a beautiful cohousing community in Port Townsend, WA, which a wonderful small town on the Olympic Peninsula, about 2 hours from Seattle. (See www.rosewind.org)

If you are interested in hosting us sometime or would like to come visit, please contact me.

Thanks!

Lisa

Hey there,

Just want to see if there is a family in the Phoenix AZ area (anywhere there, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, Phx, etc.) who want to exchange with us for about 5-7 days in June of this year. We are in Southern AZ, in Benson, on 5 acres in the desert. From here you can go see Tombstone (the town too tough to die), Bisbee (old mining town-turned-artsy), Chiricahua nat.Monument, Kartchner Caverns, Ft. Huachuca, Ramsey Canyon preserve, etc. Our higher elevation makes a slightly cooler that the Phx area. We have 3 sweet dogs (lab, smaller mutt, shitzu) and 3 cats. Also a guesthouse, so you can bring friends! We are looking ofr a place to stay June 20-24 (and/or a day before and after that period), close to the light rail to get to the Phx Convention Center, or a short drive from the light rail if we can park there. It would be me and my 14yo duaghter, my friend and her 2 or 3 kids (10-17). We would really mostly just spend the night, since we'll be spending our days at a convention. Please let me know if you are interested, or know of someone else who might be!   Sybelle  cUUrious@gmail.com

Hello all!
I am interested in knowing where everyone is based? My family & I love to travel and as we're new to unschooling it'd be a great learning experience to be hosted or do an exchange for the amazing experience that would be in itself! We are in Brisbane, Australia, and would love to travel throughout Australia, Europe, the Americas & Canada, & everywhere in between!
This is such a great idea :)
Thanks & looking forward to hearing from/meeting you! :)

Hi Everyone!

We haven't checked in with you all in awhile...we are in a lovely rural spot in Victoria, BC (on lower Vancouver Island). We are looking to travel to Sand Diego late August to early September (2011)...anyone out there feel like heading north while we head south?
