Many of us went to the LIFE is Good Conference last May (2011). Our girls are older teens and are often busy with their own activities. Maybe this is a case of "If you build it, they will come."

Name an idea/time/place and see what kinda response you get.

I'm wondering if we can't come up with some sort of gathering somehow or another. Just some thoughts to play out a bit. Coordinate either a once or twice a year get together, more or less? Coordinate some sort of online meetings with both parents and or kids on regular basis? Not sure how things are for you guys but things a bit on the tough side financially for us so we can't really go long distances per se, but we may be able to facilitate some who can, who say want to visit the land of Twilight or something. I'm out near Forks. 8 miles from Forks and just 20 miles from the straight of Juan de Fuca and 20 from Lake Crescent and Olympic National Park. -- There used to be a really fun "not back to school camp" out here at the Park, I met Rain there and that's how I joined this group. Was about 3 or more years ago now I guess. She has since moved to CA (I think) I don't know if the camp is still going on because they never contact me anymore and the gal won't return my emails (not Rain, someone else) I don't know that I can do something quite that large, but perhaps with enough interest we can do something.

 

Just sort of throwing some ideas out there. My daughter gets plenty of socialisation. Just not from other unschoolers. Especially the radical type (LOL) so it can be a bit trying sometimes.

I'm pretty sure not Bema, maybe we are all too busy or something? Hard to say, it would be so awesome if we could coordinate some things for the state...or something LOL. But no, not much movement it would seem.
