Sandra said they are much bigger....what do you do when they are blowing at ya....run? yikes!
this one is 10" x12" maybe? I don't have my tape measure handy.
If we can handle sand spurs and fire ants here, we can handle tumbleweeds...we're a tough breed! (ahem, even New Yorkers not born here)

Having not ever been around an actual tumbleweed (and really...never seeing one at all save for Bugs Bunny commercials and the opening scenes of "The Big Lebowski"), I would totally put a tumbleweed on my mantle, too! Oh, no...our wrap-around shelf-near-the-ceiling (I don't know what it's called) in our upstairs living room. But it would be between Dave's light saber and my Chewbacca mug. Or maybe near our "Live Laugh Love" sign. ;-)

It's hard to tell by the pic, Heather...just how big is that tumbleweed?

Having a tumbleweed inside the house (only by the back door in what is a glorified enclosed porch) in the cardboard box kinda creeped me out, and you've gone and put it on the mantle!!

But honestly, I don't think they can be as prickly and dangerous in a humid place as they are here. I hope. I'm glad you're having fun with it!
