Tourism "blog" posts are very recent.> Yeah, I was responding to Jenny saying please leave it open to the public. The spam thing is whole nuther thang. Maybe good to start a new thread?

This is a very old thread that came up over a year ago. I think it's not an issue anymore. It is good to know that there are choices. Deffo!

Sure, I've yelled. I've apologized. Sure i've had my doubts along the way about food esp. That's my biggy. About the amount that I do for my son. Was I making him self indulgent? I've gone through that and seen what a thoughtful boy is continues t...

Here's something from the mother's (Heather's) educational system. Some sounds like it could be a lot of fun but you sign up for the whole thing it seems. I don't see what is unschooling about it. even on the show, I couldn't figure out why she ca...

Yeah, I think they were really hoping to put a more positive light on unschooling - perhaps being ignorant to the fact that these so-called "reality" shows are heavily edited to make for more exciting viewing. I was appalled when I watched the sh...

I love Krista Jones a lot a lot and she is pretty :) Un-schooling is dumb. I am smart in real school :) yayyy No but seriously. The average ACT score at my school is 29. Have her kids take that. See if they can get a 4. Her oldest kid is enrolled...

Profile Information

what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?
It means not having to get up in the morning!

It means seeing my child for who he is and continually discovering what that means and celebrating him for that. It means living in the moment as fully as I can. Respect at the base of all. Having fun. Fun is the most fun thing.
how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?
Hard to say. Maybe since 2004 years. Maybe from birth. I learned about the word unschooling when Asher was about 3 or 4 and it was a (mostly) easy outgrowth of the way were we living.
names and ages of children
Asher born at the end of 1999.
a little about me
I'm an actor who doesn't work very often. I love hanging out, dancing (don't do that so much- thanks for the reminder to dance), movies, hiking, eating, healing modalities. Meditating-(oh thanks again for the reminder). I love laughing.

I started an unschoolers group. This is us here http://groups.yahoo.com/group/smwla/

This is my first social network I've joined. Not sure how it works but I'll wander around and find out. I don't write a lot but I like the idea a lot.

While you were in NZ, I happened to meet a real-live Kiwi at Sunnyside Up :D I sent him home with some Hannah in his pocket and promises of great tales when he arrives home and she leads him somewhere amazing!!

Thank you for the nice welcome. I'm in the Santa Clarita Valley, so not exactly close to Santa Monica. It's a shame because I'm having a terrible time locating unschoolers up here. We just moved from Sherman Oaks where there were TONS of unschoolers. I'm on the "waiting list" for the local homeschool group, but I'm doubting there are many unschoolers there anyway. We won't be able to join for a year.

It was so cool to hang out with you and your gorgeous son...I don't think I'll ever stop saying "sorry about the keys!!", but I sure how you will look us up if you come back here :0) Shell
