what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?: Freedom

how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?: If my daughter were going to school, she would have started kindergarten today, so we are officially unschooling starting today. How fun it was to stay up late (like usual) last night and sleep in this morning without worrying about all that.

first names of children: Emma Jo, 5

a little about me: I'm a Mom who never thought she wanted to be a Mom, but ended up loving every moment of it.
In my spare time I help edit my Dad's sustainable living issue. I enjoy xeriscaping and organic gardening.

I think that is why I didn't want kids (or get married for that matter). I didn't want to "have to" settle down or make sacrifices with my lifestyle. (I guess I was an unschooler before my kids were born!) It wasn't until they were born that I realized, this life is all about co-creation. Together we make sense of it all. Together we laugh, dance, play and best of all travel.
