- what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?
- It means being a facilitator for my child's learning. He learns what he wants to learn during each day and I help him learn those thing. I don't consider myself a teacher. I try to find opportunities for classes, events, trips, etc, that meet his needs but I simply present him a list and he decides what he wants to do. I respect him as a separate person from me, not as my possession as many people view their children; not as someone to control.

- I have been unschooling for 2 years now. I had unschooling tendencies for several years before that.

- a little about me
- I have many years of child care experience and watching how children learn. This is what interested me in unschooling to begin with. My son has never been to a school and my daughter homeschooled for the last two years of high school, and we mostly unschooled those two years. I have been married to my husband for 8 years now. I do not have his full support in regards to unschooling, but he is all for homeschooling. He is slowly warming up to the unschooing philosophy, though.
