what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?: not that there is a normal unschooler, but radical is beyond the norm.

I seem to always be ahead on the cutting edge, I was a radical unschooling mom before the name was coined

how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?: We homeschooled for less than a year and fell gently into unschooling, It's been 20 plus years now!

first names of children: Amy 26, Hubbard now known as Cloud 23, Nathaniel 20, David 17, Bj 13

a little about me: I nursed our youngest until the day she turned six, she stopped on her own. That should say it all, but... My greatest mentors are my children. Life is Like an onion there are layers and layers and the journey is always unfolding.

I have my own business, called Balance Living Resources and I work at Macy's 20 hours a week, so that my family can have the excellent medical/dental insurance that the corp provides.

My mentors in the early years of unschooling were our fellow council members of the long ago NHA (National Homeschool Association).

I've mentored other moms on listening to their children and to themselves. I also mentor people in general on going after their dreams and visions.

I'm married to my best friend and partner for life, two of our oldest are out on their own and my oldest son is married and has blessed me with a grandson.

My house is full of books, cats and a pool table takes up a room of it's own.
