Disabled and Neuro-typical mix of children needing more friends and support in SE Wis.

I am the mother of seven children, 2 of whom have disabilities.(the kind that can be judged easily) After the gut shearing pain of watching my daughter cry herself to sleep and awake again whimpering about her feelings on such things as "true friends", "homeschooling success", "stress of having a disabled sister", etc. I decided enough is enough and I am going to campaign for more support. Tell me this site is real! I haven't had much time to sort through the site, but hope that I understand correctly that there are several families in Wisconsin and a great group worldwide on here!We have been rather isolated from like minded folks for a few years (since a move) and have been searching the web connections. what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?: The ability to allow my children an environment to learn and grow into the best version of themselves that they can be. And, accepting that doing so might be seen as more than unconventional. It is a commitment to make an Excellent and Revoluntionary change in my children's lives from where they would be destined to be if institutionalized or raised with a shame based system.

how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?: Since 2003, when B's was in Kindergarten and we were pointed in the direction that what was best for her, and subsequently her siblings.
