Trusting my children to follow their ambitions and dreams, and supporting them and providing for their education in a way that suites their personality and individual needs. It means taking a feminist approach to education, learning along with my children, and preparing them for a life - not just a career.

I'm actually going to a concert at OSU with the kids at that time. I would love to meet you though; maybe after the show, or at least sometime before you leave town. Feel free to call, or we can continue to message.
I just wanted to let you know that Jon Gold has set up an unschool meetup at the Sunyside Up Cafe for Sunday the 28th @ 1 p.m., so my daughter and I can meet local unschoolers there in the Corvallis area. I hope you'll be able to make it, so we can meet.
Hey Darrin - welcome! This can be a great place to learn about unschooling and you investigate and find what works for your family. I also HIGHLY recommend joyfullyrejoycing.com - she has put together a great website that has a wonderful tone.
And as I mentioned in my email - send the OSUU YahooGroup any questions you may have, we'd really love to have a nice discussion, but it is always so much better when they stem from really questions from real people!
