what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?

It means that we do NOT pretend to be a school here. Our children know that they are learning all the time. They are learning how to find the information that they need to satisfy their curiosity or complete projects of interest to them. They learn at their own speed and in their own best ways. They are confident and do not understand the concept of comparing themselves to others. They are comfortable in their own skin.

how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?

Both unschooled from birth- Simeon (11), Treston (8).
I also have a grown daughter (conventionally schooled) and 2 grandchildren, a grandson aged 14 and a granddaughter age 9.

a little about me

I share a homebased business with international reach, with my husband/business partner, that is involved in extending the life (using 100% post-consumer recycled feedstocks) of extracted natural resources by creating new materials for the built environment. We also steward 500 acres of environmentally sensitive wilderness in Missouri. I also also the creator of my own spiritually focused community (Living Metaphysics on Ning) and a co-administrator of a 1,000+ community called A New Gaia, also on Ning. I am a nature based, open-hearted person in love with Life and its unfolding, a child of my Mother Earth/Gaia. I am an active participant in the evolutionary shift occurring within humanity at this time.
