what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?

Living is learning and learning is living. To pursue peace, joy, and contentment with your life. Always striving toward that goal even when it seems far away at the moment. Also, opening up the world to your children. Giving them the opportunity to see more, experience more, serve the community more. The more we can experience together, the closer we will become as a family and the more we will learn as a family.

how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?

We have been homeschooling and mostly unschooling for 16 years. Our first born son was mentally handicapped and he is the reason we discovered homeschooling in the first place. We learned about unschooling a few years later. It has been wonderful and challenging raising 4 children but it has been an awesome adventure!

a little about me

I am the laid back, patient kind of person for the most part. I am a Jesus lover, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, unschooler, adventurer, reader. I love to learn about people. I love to read, especially fantasy-adventure, and biographies. My dream is to sell our house and most of our belongings and travel full time in a fifth wheel with my family.
