Hi!
will you be at the North East Unschooling conference at the end of August? I'm going with my husband, so hopefully I'll have more time to chat than at L&L last year. I'm sure my husband (who is German) would love to chat with you too.
Hope to see you there!

Hi Mara,

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and ideas about the book. I am so glad your boys are enjoying it!
Yes, both of my sons have said a few times, that school sounds like fun. They have many friends who go to school and there are parts that seem to intrigue them, riding the bus, playing with lots of friends at recess, music class, etc...
However, when I ask them, "Would you like to go to school?" They both say, "No!" lol!
It is a thought, an interest in trying something new, though understanding that home is where he really wants to be.
Thank you so much again for your feedback, it is so much fun to hear from everyone!
Smiles and joy

Mara - I didn't know you live in Massachusetts too! We're about 35 minutes away from you, but my mom lives in Weston. I just got back from her house a few minutes ago.

Yes, my husband speaks German to Linnea, and yes, I'll be at L&L! Linnea also speaks English with German words and phrases thrown in (she actually does that with me too. I understand German, but I don't speak it very well. ) If you hear a little blond girl yelling "kuck mal" or calling "Mutty"(with a Thuringian accent, "moody" :-), that will be her ;-)
Hope to talk to you at L&L!

Hi! I just replied to you regarding your documentary. I was wondering: do you speak German to your kids? I see you live in Massachusetts: I live in Montreal (Quebec), so technically not too far away (well, about as far away as a trip to Germany from France - lol - I'm still thinking in European distances) and I would be so happy if Linnea had German speaking friends who were also unschoolers!

In any case, I hope we can meet at L&L!
