what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?: It means respecting children as capable humans with as much right as anyone else to make their choices and live their lives. It means fun, discovery and a huge learning curve for everyone around!

how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?: For as long as I've had children (since 1996), the concept of unschooling has been happening.....even tho I did not hear the term "unschooling" for a few years.

a little about me: My husband almost 14 years is my partner in this amazing journey. Of my two younger, also unschooling sisters, Dora is a member here. I love going new places and seeing new things....watching my children discover stuff.... birth, breastfeeding, health, interesting people, being outdoors, good books and movies....and many more things!!

I was just in the interior up at Big White! We did meet up with another SD family up there, but not unschoolers :) I'm really hoping for a BC gathering, camp style or cabin style or something, so a bunch of us families with oh so many unschoolers between us can connect! Why just with your family, Skye's family, and Helen's (growing) family, we'd have 16 kids! lol WOW! Hope to meet you soon! Are you considering coming to Life is Good Unschooling Conference in May in Washington?

I met Dora a couple of time through a mutual friend and La Leche League - nice to meet her sister! It is great to have more Canadians here - and even more local - BC people - maybe we can plan a gathering!! (I know Ashcroft isn't exactly local...but still). Look forward to getting to know you!
